GENERAL RELATIONSHIP PROBLEM PROFILE

[CHAPTER 2]

Look back over the just completed Relationship Health Profile test and write down those areas that scored against the health of your relationship. In other words, write down the subject matter of all the even-numbered items to which you answered "True" and those odd-numbered items to which you answered "False". For example, if you wrote "True" to question 60, write down, "I feel suspicious of my partner." If you wrote down "False" to question 61, then write down, "I don't feel needed by my partner." It will be important to list these in your journal because they too will add to the clarity of your objectives for helping your relationship. We will be using this information extensively in some later profiles you will be generating, so do a good and thorough job.

Now, after studying your list, look at the following list of characteristics that describe a problem relationship, and list them from strongest (one) to weakest (ten) in terms of presence and influence within your relationship: )For example, if you believe that hostility/contempt is the strongest emotion in your relationship, it would generate a rating of 10. If love is the weakest emotion in your current relationship, it would receive a ranking of 1.)
