our staff - their dedication

Our teachers and workers have dedicated themselves to the children they serve. They wear multiple “hats” ~ serving as caregivers, nurses, counselors, and soul-healers. They have often gone without remuneration when funds run out. During the 2017-2018 school year, the teachers worked from January through the end of the term without pay. Vali Bordea, Soli Deo Gloria’s founder and says that not much funding comes in to pay the staff, but “the teachers must be also paid with God's help.” Soli Deo Gloria is a recognized institution, with a staff of sixteen people, including the gardener, cook, drivers and custodian. Two kindergarten and four primary teachers educated 85 students during the 2017-18 school year. Unfortunately, no one has received pay from January through June due to a lack of funds. Having their own living expenses, these dedicated teachers need to be paid so they can continue working at Soli Deo Gloria School.

God’s goodness is real! Every child has a story; featured below are Lulia’s and Mădălina’s, as told by Vali, Soli Deo Gloria School founder. Lulia had a brain tumor. She had surgery, and the doctors said she would die, or she would be not be able to talk, walk, or hear. But she is alive! We prayed for her and the Lord saved her life! She is alive, she is talking to us, and she can walk! She is very skinny. She can not attend the school yet. We visit her and bring her clothes, fruits, and what other food we can. Mădălina has had two heart surgeries. The doctor told her mother that they needed to take out her heart, repair it and put it back and start it again. During the surgery we, at the school, prayed for the doctors and Mădălina. We felt so unworthy and said to the Lord, “We are not worthy that You listen to our prayers, but for Your Goodness and everlasting Love, please help Mădălina. The doctor told Mădălina’s mother that he has performed many heart surgeries for many children, but with this one he felt God's special help in Mădălina’s case. The children’s stories of abandonment, lack of nourishment, and health issues are heartbreaking, but God loves His children and has provided a school where they are learning and are cared for by dedicated staff - His emissaries.
